Buren’s piece is a collection of striped canvases hung from a laundry line throughout the gallery space and out the window. The paintings could be seen from the street below, hung like striped linens, terminating at the façade of the building across the street.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI love Buren’s piece not only for its whimsy: it demonstrates how we can begin to perceive and understand space through repetition. I imagined what this piece would look like as a drawing in space.
